Out and About for the First Time - Part 2

I think the first time that my wife appeared to be frightened about me being a transvestite was when I told her that I would like to go out in public dressed as a woman.  In hindsight this is when my wife's problems with facing fear became painfully evident.  At the time I was too painfully insecure about myself to really notice what was going on with my wife.  I took every way that she was behaving as a signal to me that I shouldn't be doing what I was interested in doing.  I always looked to her for support but she was unable to support me in my endeavors.  Which was odd to me at the time because before this she had always been very supportive of my crossdressing.  Really what was happening to my wife was just an extension of the life that she began living long before she ever met me.  See my wife is the type of person that can't handle fear.  Fear of any kind.  Where apparently I am the type of person that has chosen to face my fears.

And that is what prompted me to go out dressed as a woman.  Before this point I had dressed as a woman in the privacy of my own house for many years.  Though I don't remember if I had dressed fully as woman for that long before I started pondering going out.  Once I dressed fully, clothes, wig, makeup, I began considering going out as a woman.  I think that at the time, which must have been about 4 years ago or so at least, all that I was really interested in was proving that I could go out as a woman.

Thinking about it from my wife's perspective it had to appear to be pretty odd.  Why exactly would someone want to go out dressed as a woman if not for some purpose that would threaten a marriage?  This would be very concerning for any wife that enjoys her marriage.  The thing was that really I only wanted to go out to prove that I could.

You see, I was terrified to go out dressed as a woman, and that was the reason that I needed to go out dressed as a woman.  Simply because I was afraid of going.  My fear about going out dressed as a woman was making it become bigger than it was.  There is something about many people, myself included, something that I think may actually affect everyone, when we are told that we can't have something it makes it so we want it all the more.  We may never have even wanted it, but when we are told that we can't have it, we desire it with a passion.

Maybe I am wrong about this affecting everyone, but I know that it affects me deeply.  By being afraid of going out dressed as a woman, in some way I was trying to convince myself that it was something that I couldn't have.  By thinking I couldn't, it made it become something illicit and I desired it all the more.  I realized that I began fantasizing about what it might feel like.  How freeing it would be.  And I started thinking about it almost every single day.  I began to wonder if maybe I wasn't just a crossdresser but a woman trapped inside of a man's body.  Why after all would I think about it day after day, daydreaming and fantasizing about going out dressed as  a woman.

I didn't let this go on for very long before I forced myself to go out dressed as a woman.  And now, years later  I can tell you all that by no means am I anything except for your average everyday ordinary crossdresser.  I don't want to be a woman full time.  Honestly it's just too much work.  But I would never know that if I didn't get past my fear about just trying it.  Because I am the type of person who will force himself to do things simply because I am afraid of it.

Now keep in mind I'm only talking about fears in my mind, not things that maybe one should be afraid of like say a saber toothed tiger roaring down upon you.  Fears of the mind are vicious cruel little things. Like I couldn't go out dressed as a woman because:
     - people would laugh at me
     - nobody would accept me as a woman
     - people would be angry with me
     - my clothes would somehow betray me by falling off or flipping up or who knows what
     - someone I know will see me
     - I was too embarrassed
     - my wig would fall off in the wind, in my food, while leaning down
     - someone would try and kick my ass

This is only what I can think of right now.  The point is, at the time I personally didn't know IF any of those things would actually EVER happen.  But I used them to stop myself from just simply trying.  It occurred to me to try and yet I stopped myself by picturing only the worst possible things that might possibly happen.  I just had to try.  I had to.

And now?  Now after years of trying I can tell you how much more intelligent that I am today.  I know not only myself far better than I did before I tried but I also have an appreciation for humanity that I never had before.  I always pictured the worst of humanity and thus only saw the worst.  I made it so that  I didn't like people because I always pictured them as being bad.  Thus far in my journeys I can tell you that after all the years and all the people that I have ever interacted with only one was ever rude to me.  Far more people have been rude to me while dressed as a guy.  In fact while dressed as a girl people have actually gone above and beyond in treating me not just politely but genuinely nicely.  And what I have observed is the more relaxed, and less fearful I have been, the nicer that people are to me.

Face your internal fears and be set free or don't try and hate yourself and humanity.

Be careful, be thoughtful, but be determined to see the best the world has to offer you.

Out and About for the First Time

Hollywood Blvd. for some reason is where I thought I would go out dressed as a woman for the first time.  It is kind of odd to write about it now as it occurred quite some time ago.  It was long enough ago that I don't actually remember when it was but I do remember quite a bit about it.

I remember part of what I wore.  It was a long purple peasant skirt.  Some sort of heels.  I don't remember at all what I wore for my top.  I remember the wig I wore.  It was one with long brown straight hair, not particularly flattering compared to what I now wear.

I remember going into some stores and looking at some clothes.  I remember a very nice sales lady commenting on my pretty skirt and that she was jealous that she couldn't pull off the look.  I was so petrified that I couldn't even respond to her.  I still feel bad about that.  At the time I was embarrassed about my voice and everything else.  I think I was still very concerned about passing as a real woman and really was not comfortable at all with being a man dressed as a woman.  And being that paranoid about passing is what made me come off as weird.

I also remember in some store, a small child staring at me as  I browsed the clothes.  It made me pretty uncomfortable.  It felt as though the child was seeing right through my disguise.

One of the other big things I remember is some random woman on the street giving me a very dirty look, as if she was saying "Oh my god you have to be kidding me, are you even serious right now?"

It's interesting looking back on the experience and rethinking what I thought at the time.  My views were very skewed back then.  The thing I really put it down to is my concern with passing, and at the same time my unconcern with passing.

Sounds strange huh?  Well on the one hand, I was so concerned with passing that I acted strangely and unfriendly with people around me.  I also thought things about what others were thinking about me, and it made me angry at them for judging me.  But it was only my own thoughts transposed onto them and thus in the end it was really just me making myself angry and using and abusing people around me by placing it upon them.

While on the other hand I wasn't concerned with passing enough to be concerned with what an actual woman would wear while shopping on Hollywood Blvd. and thus  I stuck out from the crowd not because I am a crossdresser but because of what I chose to wear for that time/place/occasion.

Hmm... Interesting stuff.  There were lots and lots of things associated with going out dressed as a woman.  but let's leave it at that for the moment.

Tall boots

Jeans - Mosimo
Blue Top - Mynx
White Top - Guess
Boots - Nine West

This was an outfit that I wore the other day to do some shopping at Costco.  It had been quite some time since I wore this pair of skinny jeans.  I decided to wear them because I wanted to see how they looked with my pair of awesome Nine West tall boots.  I really, really, really, like these boots.  They fit perfectly and are my tallest pair.  They come a little above my knees.  I feel very sexy while wearing them.

I also really like the blue tank undershirt.  You probably know that though as  I wear it often.  The white top is from Guess and I like wearing that top also.  It is a very easy to wear garment as it is a purposefully wrinkled shirt so I can pack it any wear and it looks great whenever I pull it out of my bag.

I took some more pictures of my boobs later this evening I will post up a picture of them later.  I think they looked pretty darn good.  I guess my exercises are doing some good.

Currently I am working on redoing my garden and I am damn tired.  My muscles hurt but I have many, many things to try and finish up today.

Hope you are doing well.

Shoe Storage

Well awhile ago  I wrote that I should show you how I store my shoes so I finally got around to taking pictures of what I do.  I do think that I got this idea from Sal over at Already Pretty.  For 2/3 of my girl shoes I took pictures of them, put the shoes into a shoe box and placed the picture on the outside of the box.

This has made my shoe collection much more manageable, and clean.  Generally I do not wear my shoes enough for the dust to stay off of them and now with them being boxes they are completely dust free.  Before I did it I thought that I would be bothered with the hassle of having to take my shoes out of a box but I totally don't mind it at all.  In fact I love my shoe storage now.  It is very convenient and helps my shoes to stay nice.

This shows one third of my girl shoe storage.

This is the other third of my girl shoes storage.

This is the last third of my girl shoe storage, but as you can see it is kind of mixed in with some of my guy shoes also.

This shows mainly my guy shoes, but a pair of my girl flats are also showing.

So on the floor of my closet  I have two shoe racks which hold mostly guy shoes and a few girl shoes.  Most of my girl shoes are stored in boxes which are stored on the shelves in my closet.

Overall I really like the system but I do wonder what will happen once I get too many shoes to fit on the shelves that I have.  But I figure I could probably get about 5-10 more pairs up there before I really have to worry about it.

There you have it, I hope I have inspired you to organize your own shoe space.

Mini Skirt

Shoes - Nine West
Tights - Target
Skirt - Guess
Top - Moreno
Belt - ?

Do you think mini skirts have an age limit to wearing them?  I thought so, but considering that I like this skirt so much, I am no longer so sure.  I am 40 years old and have heard that a mini skirt should no longer be worn once you reach 40.  What do you think about this idea?

I know that when someone wears clothes that are not their age the end up looking much older than they really are.  Does the outfit that I am wearing not look appropriate for someone of age 40?

On another note I really like wearing the tights with this mini skirt.  Actually without the tights I don't think I would wear this skirt out in public.  Underneath the tights are a pair of short pair of shapewear shorts.  Mr. Happy rests comfortably down this inside of my leg nicely disguised by the shapewear.  The thing about the shorts is that they are longer than the skirt, so without the tights hiding the shorts I don't think I would wear this skirt in public.

The boots by the way are my new current favorite shoe.  They are a 9 1/2 from Nine West, which I normally wear a 10.  The 10's though have a tendency to get stretched out a little and skip off my heel a bit, so I thought I would try a 9 1/2.  I really like them more and more.  Though personally I am a sucker for a nice shoe.

I must say that I am a pretty lucky guy.  I always felt as though my feet were small for a guy, but for a girl, they are kind of on the large size.  But I am quite lucky to be a guy that can get girl shoes right from the store, just about any store.

Boobs

While looking through my blog stats this morning I am struck by how many people have viewed my couple of pages on transvestites boobs.  It is a shocking difference between those pages and any other post.  For example I wrote a page about breast size and that particular page has had 345 page views, while my next closest page is on shoes and that one has 63 page views.  So what can I read from this data?  I think that people are very concerned with transvestites boobs.  Interesting?

Well I do admit that my biggest concern with dressing as a woman was the boob aspect.  Boobs are a fascinating thing.  They are something uniquely feminine.  And uniquely human female.  All mammals, from what I understand, have mammary glands, but human females are the only ones with breasts.  Okay a bit of googling and reading I found that human females are the only ones with breasts before they are needed for nursing.  So other mammals have breasts also, just not before they are needed to feed their offspring.  Interesting.

Have you heard of the chest butt theory of breasts?  I saw a TV show once where some guy was speculating that human breasts were an imitation of a butt.  If you doubt this theory, check out boob cleavage compared to butt cleavage.  They are both very similar.

Regardless, we as a species, both male and female, are kind of obsessed with boobs.  So if you came to this blog via a google link for transvestite boobs, have you bothered to check out any of my other pages?

Maximize your hips

It's funny I have been considering writing this blog entry for a little while and just today I looked at already pretty and saw her post from today was about how to minimize your hips.  That is one of the things that I really like about Sal.  She and I agree on this idea of trying to be happy with what you have and using your clothes to help you achieve the look you are going for.

This is a very important thing for men, women, and crossdressers to understand, you need to make your clothes work for you.  You need to get them to help you accentuate or downplay various elements of your body, because it is just so damn easy.

For example, I am often wistful of women with nice curvy hips.  Hips are something that are pretty much impossible to attain through any kind of surgical means, unlike breasts.  But for us crossdressers surgery is not desired anyway.  So how do you go about achieving the look of hips when you don't have any?

Well here is a picture of me while dressed as a woman, wig, top, bra, makeup, but I have on male jeans:

Here is what it looks like with a pair of female jeans, a little hip jut, small (read very, very small,) hip pads, and the right photo:

Here is one from the front while wearing the same jeans.  A couple of things about these jeans help my hips look bigger.  One is their length, they are super long.  Another is the color, with being lighter on the tops and darker on the sides it helps my legs to look skinny and thus my hips look bigger.  Another thing is the tight top I have that hugs me at the smallest place on my waist and flares out on my hips because its not tucked in and the shirt help with a small flip out at the bottom of it.

Here is a picture of me wearing a tight red skirt with a larger white flowing top.  The top being bigger and flaring out on my hips helps give the illusion of bigger hips when it is combined with the the tight belt and the tight skirt.

My last picture here shows possibly my favorite skirt of all time.  It is made by Guess and I love, love, love it!!  Why?  Because the skirt is constructed to help accentuate hips.  It it lightly tight on my waist, flares out at the hips, goes skinny towards the knees, and then flares out right at the bottom.  The skirt itself has such wonderful curves as it just sits on the hanger.  This piece of clothing makes my hips look bigger than anything else I have to wear.  I mean really, look at that hip jutting out.

Oh also some other pointers, jutting your hip out to either side, makes them look bigger, but its kind of hard to walk around that way, it is good for pictures.  Also for pictures, placing your hand on your hip helps them to look bigger also.

I think that what is interesting is how un-hippy I can look, and without really doing much other than wearing a different set of clothes can really make my hips look much bigger.  The clothes themselves can make it look as though I actually have hips!  Woo-Hoo!  I don't have to go through anything more traumatic than picking the right clothes.

An interesting idea in our society is that we need to correct bodily deficits by utilizing surgical procedures.  Don't be unhappy with what you have, don't go through expensive and painful surgeries, just wear the right clothes.
