Shoes

So there we were, my wife and I sitting on the shore of Monterey Bay watching the sun set.  It was gorgeous BTW.  Here is a picture of it:

As we were sitting there I looked down and saw our shoes and decided to take a picture of them.

 Which pair do you think are mine?

What is it about cute shoes?  For me, that is how I know that I really like dressing as a girl.  I really, really like all the cute shoes.  I will have to take some pictures and show you how I keep my shoes now.  It's pretty cool.

Body Image

I often read a blog, already pretty, and in it the author, Sal, often discusses body image and how women are often overly obsessed with body image, often in a very negative way.  I have personally met many women who have a very negative view of their own bodies, but recently I heard of a study that surveyed women and found out that many women who are overweight, thought that they had a non-overweight body.

This is an interesting dichotomy.  I can't help but think that this odd duality has to do with our wonderful society, mainly how our media portrays society.  First off media portrays women as all being these stick think with giant boobs.  Then our media says that women are being forced to match an unrealistic body image, so then half of the media start telling women to remember that they are just fine.  So now what we have is still the unrealistic body image portrayed in much of the media, (have you ever noticed how many flat chested women are on TV shows or commercials, um next to none,)  plus we have women being told, no you are just fine the way that you are.

Is either one really a good image to have?  I don't think so.  But not being a woman in this society, I don't really have any answers for what they should do.

I do have some thoughts on myself and my own body image.

First off, any ladies that are reading this, most guys have as many body image issues as you do.  And furthermore I would say that most crossdressers have many body image issues.  Personally I try to be happy with what I can do while dressed as either sex.  I keep myself in shape but am not overly obsessed with weight.  I would like to have different parts of my body look differently, but generally try and stay happy with what I do have.

Men or women, don't let what you have go to waste.

Nails

Yesterday I mentioned how somebody was in a tizzy regarding my nails and I tried to find a picture oh how exactly I paint them but was unable to do so. Today I looked through my picture archives more closely and finally found what I was looking for.

Many people have asked me how I get the effects that I do, and I always tell the truth, which is it was not my discovery, I looked up on the net for ways to do nails and I found it someplace. Here is what I do. I float nail polish on top of the water, swirl it around with a toothpick, and then dip my fingers into it. It takes quite a bit of acetone to clean up the mess off of my fingers and some extra time spent in the shower continuing to clean off the excess, but I love the results. I absolutely love the results. People all the time are asking me where I get my nails done and when I tell them I do them myself they are flipped out and can't hardly believe me.

Pretty funny I think, cause while it takes a while to do, it is pretty ridiculously easy.

Hello again

Well for the past month or so my boy side has been overriding most of my girly tendencies. There have only been a few times since October that I have actually even dressed as a girl. Just about every single weekend I have been out duck hunting with my wife. It has been a blast as well as extremely humorous in that more often than not I have gone duck hunting with my fingernails painted. And you should see the look on the faces of a couple of the fish and game wardens when they see them. One of them, kind of a friend now, told me that one of the other guys is really in a tizzy about it because he just can't seem to figure out what is up with me and my crazy painted fingernails.

I told him to tell the other guy that I do it because I like to paint them as well as enjoying other peoples confusion about my choices. It pleases me to confuse people some times.

I tried just now to find a picture of how I normally have my nails painted but couldn't find one, but I did find this picture of me dressed up:

Just to let you know, if I have not already stated so, I love these Guess jeans. They fit great and are super long. I need to make sure the heels I wear with them are long enough to not drag on the ground. I love them.
