Shoe Storage

Well awhile ago  I wrote that I should show you how I store my shoes so I finally got around to taking pictures of what I do.  I do think that I got this idea from Sal over at Already Pretty.  For 2/3 of my girl shoes I took pictures of them, put the shoes into a shoe box and placed the picture on the outside of the box.

This has made my shoe collection much more manageable, and clean.  Generally I do not wear my shoes enough for the dust to stay off of them and now with them being boxes they are completely dust free.  Before I did it I thought that I would be bothered with the hassle of having to take my shoes out of a box but I totally don't mind it at all.  In fact I love my shoe storage now.  It is very convenient and helps my shoes to stay nice.

This shows one third of my girl shoe storage.

This is the other third of my girl shoes storage.

This is the last third of my girl shoe storage, but as you can see it is kind of mixed in with some of my guy shoes also.

This shows mainly my guy shoes, but a pair of my girl flats are also showing.

So on the floor of my closet  I have two shoe racks which hold mostly guy shoes and a few girl shoes.  Most of my girl shoes are stored in boxes which are stored on the shelves in my closet.

Overall I really like the system but I do wonder what will happen once I get too many shoes to fit on the shelves that I have.  But I figure I could probably get about 5-10 more pairs up there before I really have to worry about it.

There you have it, I hope I have inspired you to organize your own shoe space.

Mini Skirt

Shoes - Nine West
Tights - Target
Skirt - Guess
Top - Moreno
Belt - ?

Do you think mini skirts have an age limit to wearing them?  I thought so, but considering that I like this skirt so much, I am no longer so sure.  I am 40 years old and have heard that a mini skirt should no longer be worn once you reach 40.  What do you think about this idea?

I know that when someone wears clothes that are not their age the end up looking much older than they really are.  Does the outfit that I am wearing not look appropriate for someone of age 40?

On another note I really like wearing the tights with this mini skirt.  Actually without the tights I don't think I would wear this skirt out in public.  Underneath the tights are a pair of short pair of shapewear shorts.  Mr. Happy rests comfortably down this inside of my leg nicely disguised by the shapewear.  The thing about the shorts is that they are longer than the skirt, so without the tights hiding the shorts I don't think I would wear this skirt in public.

The boots by the way are my new current favorite shoe.  They are a 9 1/2 from Nine West, which I normally wear a 10.  The 10's though have a tendency to get stretched out a little and skip off my heel a bit, so I thought I would try a 9 1/2.  I really like them more and more.  Though personally I am a sucker for a nice shoe.

I must say that I am a pretty lucky guy.  I always felt as though my feet were small for a guy, but for a girl, they are kind of on the large size.  But I am quite lucky to be a guy that can get girl shoes right from the store, just about any store.

Boobs

While looking through my blog stats this morning I am struck by how many people have viewed my couple of pages on transvestites boobs.  It is a shocking difference between those pages and any other post.  For example I wrote a page about breast size and that particular page has had 345 page views, while my next closest page is on shoes and that one has 63 page views.  So what can I read from this data?  I think that people are very concerned with transvestites boobs.  Interesting?

Well I do admit that my biggest concern with dressing as a woman was the boob aspect.  Boobs are a fascinating thing.  They are something uniquely feminine.  And uniquely human female.  All mammals, from what I understand, have mammary glands, but human females are the only ones with breasts.  Okay a bit of googling and reading I found that human females are the only ones with breasts before they are needed for nursing.  So other mammals have breasts also, just not before they are needed to feed their offspring.  Interesting.

Have you heard of the chest butt theory of breasts?  I saw a TV show once where some guy was speculating that human breasts were an imitation of a butt.  If you doubt this theory, check out boob cleavage compared to butt cleavage.  They are both very similar.

Regardless, we as a species, both male and female, are kind of obsessed with boobs.  So if you came to this blog via a google link for transvestite boobs, have you bothered to check out any of my other pages?

Maximize your hips

It's funny I have been considering writing this blog entry for a little while and just today I looked at already pretty and saw her post from today was about how to minimize your hips.  That is one of the things that I really like about Sal.  She and I agree on this idea of trying to be happy with what you have and using your clothes to help you achieve the look you are going for.

This is a very important thing for men, women, and crossdressers to understand, you need to make your clothes work for you.  You need to get them to help you accentuate or downplay various elements of your body, because it is just so damn easy.

For example, I am often wistful of women with nice curvy hips.  Hips are something that are pretty much impossible to attain through any kind of surgical means, unlike breasts.  But for us crossdressers surgery is not desired anyway.  So how do you go about achieving the look of hips when you don't have any?

Well here is a picture of me while dressed as a woman, wig, top, bra, makeup, but I have on male jeans:

Here is what it looks like with a pair of female jeans, a little hip jut, small (read very, very small,) hip pads, and the right photo:

Here is one from the front while wearing the same jeans.  A couple of things about these jeans help my hips look bigger.  One is their length, they are super long.  Another is the color, with being lighter on the tops and darker on the sides it helps my legs to look skinny and thus my hips look bigger.  Another thing is the tight top I have that hugs me at the smallest place on my waist and flares out on my hips because its not tucked in and the shirt help with a small flip out at the bottom of it.

Here is a picture of me wearing a tight red skirt with a larger white flowing top.  The top being bigger and flaring out on my hips helps give the illusion of bigger hips when it is combined with the the tight belt and the tight skirt.

My last picture here shows possibly my favorite skirt of all time.  It is made by Guess and I love, love, love it!!  Why?  Because the skirt is constructed to help accentuate hips.  It it lightly tight on my waist, flares out at the hips, goes skinny towards the knees, and then flares out right at the bottom.  The skirt itself has such wonderful curves as it just sits on the hanger.  This piece of clothing makes my hips look bigger than anything else I have to wear.  I mean really, look at that hip jutting out.

Oh also some other pointers, jutting your hip out to either side, makes them look bigger, but its kind of hard to walk around that way, it is good for pictures.  Also for pictures, placing your hand on your hip helps them to look bigger also.

I think that what is interesting is how un-hippy I can look, and without really doing much other than wearing a different set of clothes can really make my hips look much bigger.  The clothes themselves can make it look as though I actually have hips!  Woo-Hoo!  I don't have to go through anything more traumatic than picking the right clothes.

An interesting idea in our society is that we need to correct bodily deficits by utilizing surgical procedures.  Don't be unhappy with what you have, don't go through expensive and painful surgeries, just wear the right clothes.
