White Tunic

Tunic - White House Black Market - Similar
Jeans - Levi:Denizens
Sweater - 69th & Madison - Similar
Shoes - Born-O-Concept - Similar

This was an outfit that I wore about a week or two ago.  Jules and I decided to go get our nails done, which we have not been doing lately.  We so love getting our nails done by somebody else, but we have been attempting to save a bit of money and nails are a bit of a luxury.  Unfortunately!!

Anywho.... I like wearing these jeans to get my nails done as I can easily just roll them up and dip my feet into the lovely warm water.  With most of my jeans they are far too tight to be able to easily roll them up.  Generally when the weather is warm enough I will just wear shorts or a skirt to get my nails done, but with the colder weather, jeans it is!

Besides, have you ever noticed that the standard female outfit these days is jeans?  Well I have.  It tends to be a bit odd while being the only one in the nail salon wearing something except for jeans!  But frequently that is where I find myself.  Oh well!

Okie dokie - that's it for this awesomely exciting captivating post!  Yay!

Love you!

Love yourselves.

Seriously, it is important.

Oh but I suppose that I should say a bit more about what I mean with that.  In my estimation, it is not just a simple, love yourself, because you are beautiful!  Yeah, I kind of border on that being a bit of BS.  Rather, how about we love ourselves enough to DO what we need to DO to show love to ourselves?

For me, that often means working my ass off getting shit done so that I can actually relax when I sit down.  Or it means facing my fears to push myself to actually be the person I want to be.  So when I say that I love myself, it means I am willing to work hard actually doing something to show myself the love that I so deeply crave.

Does that even make any sense?

I hope so!

Because I am able to love myself more than I ever have before, but it has taken ACTIVE participation, not just a resignation or acceptance.

Hmmmm....

Love you!

Love yourself!

Black & White Tunic

Belt - ???? - Similar
Shoes - Flojo - Similar

I can never remember who makes the belt that I own!!  I always feel bad when I take these photos and I can name the manufacturer of everything that I am wearing except for my belts!  It is a bit funny.  I used to be an obsessive tag remover, but for the last few years I have stopped.  I have this vague notion that maybe when I tire of the clothes that I have, maybe I will go to a 2nd hand store and try and resell them.  But, if they have no tags, then they generally aren't interested.  With belts though, there are no tags to remove.  Once I clip the price tag off, the manufacturers name goes with it.  Hmm.... maybe this should be a shout-out to belt makers, put your name on them in some hidden, non-removable way!  Ha!  Maybe I'm just bonkers!

I wore this outfit while Jules and I went and got our nails done before heading off to Sparkle this past weekend.  Yeah, I am terribly behind on my outfit posts.  I'll tell ya, I am just so darn overwhelmed lately I can barely keep up with everything that I actually want to get done.  I know, I frequently complain here about a vast lack of time, but it is SO true!!  I suppose I just keep myself super busy to ward off the evil voices in my head, and a second, HA!!

Anywho.... Have I mentioned to you before how nice it is to wear blue jeans to get my toes done?  No?  Well, I love it.  Why?  Well often when I get my toes done I wear a skirt.  Then they very politely, and appropriately give me a little towel to wear over my knees.  It works, but it isn't very comfortable.  But a nice pair of stretchy jeans that I can just pull up, ahh, super comfortable.  It wouldn't seem like it, but it is.  Well to me at least, and a third, HA!

Okay.  That is about it for this lovely Friday folks!  This weekend, I need to go fit in, fixing up my duck decoys, shooting practice, continuing to remodel my kitchen, hopefully dress up nice and cute and go out for a steak dinner, oh and work on all of my other side projects, oh and clean my garage, oh and re-stuff insulation into my ceiling.......... oh and yeah I've got to finish my article for Already Pretty....... aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh............... I think I'm going to POP!!!

Love you!

Love yourself!

Stay Busy!!

Great Jacket - Just Not With This Outfit

Jacket - Mondetta - Similar
Tunic - White House Black Market - Similar
Jeans - Levi:Denizen
Shoes - Naturalizer - Similar

Now that I can see how this jacket goes with this outfit, I'm happy I left it in the car! I purchased it about two weeks ago at Marshall's, at a super discount.  I am thrilled by the purchase as I have been looking for a jacket like this for a little bit.  I really don't have much female outer wear and was specifically hoping to be able to purchase something along these lines.

So..... even though I don't like it with this outfit, I am still in love with this item.  Yay for me!!  I had taken it with us when we went to get our nails done again, just in case I got cold.

It was just another totally exciting day!  We had our nails done and then we headed off to CostCo.  Simply thrilling huh?

Did you notice the necklace that I am wearing?  It was my moms.  I did a larger post about it over at Already Pretty.  So if you have yet to see it, go check it out over there.  Here is a closer pic of it.

Okie dokie!  That is it for now!

Love you!

Sweater Weather

Sweater - Ann Taylor - Similar
Jeans - Levi: Denizen
Coat - Guess - Similar
Belt - Mossimo - Similar

This is the outfit I wore the other day when Jules and I went shopping.  I mentioned one of our stops in my previous post.  On that particular day we went to several places.  Our first stop was to get our nails redone.

I think they turned  out really cute!  Though I will say that having the black on the whole nail with the pink right at the ends gives the appearance that my nails are far shorter than they really are.  Oh well, they are still super cute!  I kind of think the hot pink matches the VS bra I picked up later.  Which was totally unplanned.

After we got our nails done, we went to the mall.  We had to pick up some Clinique eye makeup remover, we obviously stopped at Victoria's Secret, and then stopped into JCPenny's to visit Sephora.  None of those stops took very long, though I do think I should have gotten a bra fitting at VS while I was there.  Simply because I have never had one and I think I should at least give it a whirl huh?

Anywho.... Our last stop of the day was a thrilling trip to Costco!  Wow, what an exciting life I lead!

I was thinking about it a bit the other day.  So many TG folk get all worked up about getting out of the house and here I am ddoing just completely normal everyday stuff, like it is actually just a NORMAL everyday occurrence!

Hmmm.... my life..... normal, everyday,, occurrence..... Hmmmmmm...... Yeah, I'll go with that!

Love ya!

Another Rainy Day, Another Outfit!

Coat - Guess - Similar
Sweater - WHBM - Similar

I really like this outfit.  Though I will admit while I was out and about today getting my nails done, I was not wearing these shoes, or this coat.  I like this outfit because it contains a few of my favorite things.  Like this sweater.  I so love it!  I really like how the zig-zagging line and alternating colors kind of help create a waist for me.

The coat is an all time fave of mine.  I asked Jules if she thought I could get away with wearing it while dressed as a guy.  Her response was "well if you it is okay that others know that you are wearing a woman's coat then go ahead."  I don't think it is cut too femininely, like my red coat is.  But I do suppose that the color is a bit large for a males coat, or even a coat that could pass as a males coat.  Hmm..... I so do love the warmth that a wool coat provides!

Here is what I had done on my nails today.  Not the best picture, but you can kind of see what I had done.  It is a base coat of a sparkly blue and then different sized polka dots.  It turned out SO cute!  I really like it.

Thanks everyone!  Sorry I have been so lackadaisical about posting lately.  I have a bit of time off for now so hopefully I can get back on the ball with things!

Love you!

What I Wore Yesterday

Sweater - 69th & Madison - Similar
Tunic - WHBM - Similar
Belt - ???? - Similar

Things are finally getting a bit chilly around here!  Yay!  I am SO tired of the super heat.  Oh and as well, they are predicting a super El Nino event here in California.  Which, if you don't know, means we may finally get a bit of rain.  Unfortunately is does not necessarily indicate a change for our drought conditions.  Most of California's water supply comes in the form of melting snow and while we are predicted to get more rain, it also predicts warmer storms and thus not as much snow.

Wow, how totally riveting!  A fashion blog discussing hydrology in California!

Anywho..... Jules and I went to go get our nails done today.

I had seen a cool design on Pinterest that was similar to this one, but I totally forgot to pin it and I couldn't find it again.  Oh well.  Thus I came up with this design all on my own.  Pretty fun huh?  It is interesting how flashy just simple black and white can be.

I enjoy wearing these jeans while I get my nails done as they are super stretchy and I can roll them up while getting a pedicure.  Plus with the cooler weather, they are quite a bit warmer than wearing a skirt.

Did you notice the cool new belt I am wearing?  Jules found it for me the last time we visited a DSW.  She found it in the discount area and I totally love it.  It is reversible.  How convenient.  One side is this goldish silvery color and the other side is black.  I totally love it!

Okay.  Gotta run!

Love you!

Love yourself!

I'm trying!

Thanks for the Thought

Since I have begun coming out to people I have observed an interesting phenomena occurring with some of them.  This thing that I have observed does not take away from what I consider to be super  nice responses from everyone I have ever told and I have really been touched by all of them.  What I have seen is a protectiveness from them towards me.  Which is also super sweet that they would care about me.  But I think their caring comes out in an interesting way.

One of the early incidents that I can remember, I was in the process of telling a couple about me being transgender.  I wrote the description up here.  The thing I thought was interesting when they asked me about telling our other friend and stated that maybe it would not go so well.

When I did actually tell my other friend, he was totally fine with it.  But he was actually worried about what would happen if I told the original couple!

The second time that I can distinctly remember is when Jules and I were recently visiting a couple we are close friends with.  While there we all went out to dinner and met up with a relative of theirs.  Jules and I have met all of these people many times in the past, but I am only really out to the couple.  So it was kind of amusing for me when one of their relatives began questioning me about having my nails painted.  I found the conversation quite entertaining and for the relative to be quite nice and understanding, but apparently the couple I was with were terrified!  They were freaking out that their sister was going to become kind of unhinged and hurt me in some way.

Nothing actually did happen other than she and I chatting about having my nails painted.  We were at dinner and though I felt like explaining to her that I am transgender, I didn't think that at that dinner, at that table, or at that time was appropriate.  So we just chatted politely about me having my nails painted.  The next day though she texted the couple and asked if I was transgender or gay.  I told them to tell her that I am transgender and she replied, cool.  And that was about it.

The third, and latest time has yet to be fully panned out.  I was hanging out with a friend who I often hunt with.  I told him that I am transgender about 6 months ago or so.  He has been totally fine with it and in fact we have begun hanging out a bit more since then.  I saw him just the other day and he invited me to a private shooting event at a nearby ranch where we live.  But he wanted to make sure that I understood that it was a real "good ole boy" event and then stated quite bluntly that he does not know what they would do if I showed up to the event with my fingernails painted.

The thing that I think is interesting about these three examples is that these people have all said the same thing to me.  They state that they are fine with what I do, but they are not sure how someone they know would react to it.  And that reaction might be bad.  And they don't want me to get hurt.

And.... I don't know if this is actually nice behavior.

I suppose the reality is, that while many people, all people that I have talked to, are very nice and kind and supportive, being transgender is still, on some sort of basic prime level of existence, a very uncommon thing for most people.  So while most people like to think of themselves as open minded, they often think of others as being close minded.

And there are a couple of things about that.  One is that when you think other people are going to be negative about something it goes past that to watch out because that person will be negative about that.  The second thing is that it suggests that maybe there is something wrong with being transgender.  Like my last friend, I kind of got the impression that if I chose not to take off my polish, then I should not go to the ranch shoot.

While I appreciate those that have been very supportive of me, I have not appreciated hearing about how they view other people.  But, then again, it has made me very appreciative of being transgender and mostly out to everyone, regardless of the consequences!  Because only by doing so have I been able to see past what I think people will do and I get to experience what people actually do.

It is easy to be afraid.

All you have to do is nothing.

Although it is sad that is all you'll ever have.

Too bad.

Outfit for 5-17-2015 - New Skirt

I realize that I have a few things that I kind of obsess over.  One of them, of course, is black and white - we have already been over that I am a total sucker for just about anything black and white, but another thing that I seem to really enjoy is skirts.  I feel a bit silly about it actually as I think that I have like two or three skirts in my closet already that have been there, unworn, for a few months.  Frequently they just hangout and wait until I find the right outfit for them, but I still feel a bit silly buying something that does not immediately get used.

Anywho..... this skirt was just one of those ones that was waiting patiently for me to figure out how I was going to work it in.  I really like it, but I was finding it difficult to figure out how to wear it well due to the geometric design on it.  And while I am on it, that is another thing that I am drawn to - clothing with geometric designs.  I have found some really cool ones, like this skirt, but then I often struggle with putting it together with something else as SO many of my clothes have patterns on them that I feel as though the patterns don't mesh well.

I figure one of two things needs to happen, either I need to get over my thinking that two apparently different patterns can comfortably coexist within the same outfit or I need to invest time in buying some more non-patterned items that would work better with what I currently own.

Personally I struggle with mixing patterns.  How about you?  Do you think two different patterns can coexist together in the same outfit, or should I mix solid with patterns as in this outfit?

Today this outfit was worn to get our nails done and to do some light shopping.  Aren't my nails cool!  Thanks I think so! (Obviously & I am SO modest about them right?!)

Updates:
- Today I had a post go live on Already Pretty!  OMG, I am so dying over that!  Dying in a good way! (What an odd expression!) How about I am SO thankful for Sally for inviting me to contribute to her site.  It was a super generous thing for her to do, so go check it out!

- I was NOT a winner for the Glamour Boutique contest.  I showed Jules who did win, and she thought it was good that I didn't.  I thought that was funny!  What I did learn is that a place called Glamour Boutique is apparently looking for Glamour Shots photos.  While I think I can get a decent looking photo, my photos are not along the lines of that! Not that there is anything wrong with that, it is just not the look I am striving to achieve.  Oh well.  Seriously, congrats to the winners!

Outfit for 4/30/15 - Felt Cute but Only Looks Okay

Top - White House Black Market
Skirt - 36 point 5
Shoes - Born-O-Concept

Ugh!! The day I wore this was one of those days when I just could not decide on what I wanted to wear!  Often while showering and shaving I will ponder what I want to wear and will come up with some sort of an idea, but on this day I was unable to come up with anything.  Thus, one of my worst things ever occurred, I just started pulling out clothes and tried to mix and match to come up with something that I liked.

I really don't enjoy doing that.  Generally Jules and I will have plans to go somewhere and do something and on this day we were planning on getting our nails done and then doing some shopping.  The nail place opens at 10 and I prefer to be there when it opens.  Otherwise it can get pretty full and then we have to sit and wait.  So... not knowing what to wear and me resorting to trying on outfits to figure it out takes time!!

Suffice to say, I obviously found something to put on and we made it to the nail place and got our nails done with a minimum of hassles.  I think what I need to learn is to relax and understand that things will work out.  Just take them one step at a time.

Okay, so anywho... about the outfit.  I LOVE this sweater.  It is a sweater, but it a very loosely knit sweater and thus is not warm at all.  The breeze just blows right through it.  I also really like this skirt.  It hugs me at just the right places.  I felt cute while wearing it, but the photos do not seem to do it justice.

C'est La Vie!

A few odds and ends:
- I just ordered a new wig.  Same manufacturer, just a slightly different style.  I will obviously let you see how it works!
- I have been asked to contribute to my favorite blog, Already Pretty!!!  OMG, I am SO nervous!  It is not a transgender blog, but through discussions with Sally, she asked me if I would like to do it to help bring a TG presence to her site.  OMG, I am still in shock!
- I have also been asked to contribute to Sister House.  Tasi (the site owner) would like for me to contribute some articles regarding fashion!  Wow, too cool!  (Wow, they like me, they really like me!)
- Drama with my dad's ex wife continues and apparently I will be saddled with that burden for some time! Oh joy!

Okay, gotta run!

Love you!

Stay busy!

Outfit for 2-2-2015 - Long Torso

Sweater - Michael Kors
Top - Patty Boutique
Skirt - 36 point 5
Shoes - Born O Concept

Today Jules and I needed to go get our nails done as well as to do some shopping at Costco and Trader Joes.  I put together this outfit primarily because I felt like showing a bit of cleavage as I have not been feeling particularly feminine lately and thought I could use a bit of a visual boost.

I think this top does a great job of showing off my smallish decolletage.  In fact for not having any breasts at all, I think the illusion I can create is fabulous and it always gives me a great boost to my ego!

And it always makes me laugh!

So in that way I really like this outfit, but something looked a bit off to me.  I tried on three different sweaters and none of them really solved the problem for me.  I couldn't really tell what was off about it.  But in looking at my photos, I think the proportions are a bit off.  With the striped top being so long it really extends my torso and think that is the problem.  In general men have longer torsos than women and I think this outfit makes my torso look even longer.  Especially with the sweater being so long, that only makes it worse.

But it works, okay.  Not fabulous, but still, okay!  :)

I want to say thanks to everyone who reached out after my previous post, I appreciate all of the support that everyone out there has given me in working through this challenging time in my life.

Thank you all so much!

Love you!

Love yourself!

Love others!

Outfit for 10-21-14 - $150 Jeans!!

Top - White House Black Market
Jeans - 7 For All Mankind
Shoes - New York Transit

My good friend, Vivian mentioned to me one time that I had to try a pair of 7 For All Mankind jeans as she thought they would be perfect for me.  Vivian has a very nice shape to herself and informed me that she couldn't fit it the 7 For All Mankind jeans, and that is what made her think they would be perfect for hip challenged girls like me.

So for my birthday shopping trip, jeans were on my list and I knew that I had to try out those jeans.  Jules was with me that day but she went to another shop and thus I ventured into the 7 For All Mankind store by myself.

There were two younger ladies working the counter, and no one else in the store on that early Sunday morning.  They greeted me and I said hello and began browsing the racks.  They asked if they could assist me.  I told them I was just curious.  They inquired what exactly I was looking for.  I informed them, that I had no idea and that I was referred to them by a friend, and that I had never been into their store before and had no idea what I was looking for or what size I was or anything!

That is when they went into action!  One of them peered at me and guessed my size.  She gave me two pairs of the same jeans and told me to go try them on so we could figure out my size.  I ended up being a 27.  Skinny minny me, huh?  I showed them, and one of them said, I knew you were a 27.  They told me to wait there and they went and grabbed about 8 different pairs of jeans for me to try on.

They were all super skinny!  Not according to the tags.  Some were labeled as flared or straight leg, or skinny, but wow, I knew what Vivian was talking about.  Anybody with a decent sized booty was not going to be fitting into these jeans!  But lucky for me, with my mini butt, they actually showed off what I had.

Of course, after all of the super star treatment, and lots of fitting advice and opinions from the ladies as I was trying on and showing off the different pairs of jeans, I settled on the pair that I thought looked the best.

That was when I finally looked at the price tag and saw that they were marked down from $199 to $150!  Holy crap!  I have never paid such an exorbitant amount for a pair of jeans!  But I looked at my butt again and had to by them! Ridiculous I know!

So... anywho... I wore the above outfit while shopping.  Jules and I stopped at a Macy's to get some more Clinique.  The sales associate complemented me on my nails:

Then we went to a Best Buy where a sales associate complemented me on my sweater and said that he loved the purple with the black:

Nobody complemented me on my awesome jeans, but hey I felt like a million bucks!

So thanks Vivian!  You are the best!  I love having such a great friend that can point me in such wonderful directions!

Alrighty then!

Love you!

Love yourself!

Buy yourself something nice, because you are worth it!

4th of July Nails

In order to do these nails, there really is not much to it.  I simply painted each one the color I wanted.  I used OPI colors for the job.  The red and the blue I chose have a bit of sparkle in it and I really like those but the white, not so much.  I never really like any white polish that I use.  Do you have any that you prefer?

Oh and the finishing touch is the little white spots on the blue nails.  Jules helped with that part.  I recently got some nail art pens, that use actual polish.  If you squeeze them they put out polish.  She used them to just dab little dots of white on for me.  I finished the job by covering it all with a clear coat.

I painted these nails while out camping with Jules.  We went to Huntington Lake near Shaver Lake.  It is such a beautiful place but this time there was hardly any water there at all.  If you don't know, California is in a pretty bad drought situation.  We are hurting for water.  The lake was the lowest I have ever seen it.

Speaking of seeing it.  The last two times I have been camping I found this flower:

Isn't it beautiful?

Okay.  Gotta run.

Love you!

Happy 4th!

Outfit for Friday 4-11-14 & A New Camera

Top - Max Studio
Tank - Mossimo
Belt - Target
Skirt - 36 point 5
Shoes - Born O Concept

I so struggled putting this outfit together.  I like the end result but it took me several iterations to get it to this point.  I began with the skirt and tried about 5 or 6 different tops until I got something that I thought looked fairly good.  The skirt is a new acquisition.  I got it on my last shopping trip and I think it is super cute.  I went looking for another jean skirt being as I so enjoy wearing the other one I have.  I picked this one up for about $15!  What a steal.  I will have to see if it holds up for the long term.

Did I mention that I think I am having a bad hair day in the photo above?  Yeah well, I am kind of thinking that a wig upgrade is in my not too distant future.  I am beginning to think that wigs have about a years use while in my possession.

With the photo above, it is one of the new ones taken with my new camera!  I am so excited about it, I can't stand it.  I have been bummed with the quality of my previous one and have been looking for a nice upgrade.  I decided on a Canon EOS Rebel T3i.  Again, I got a heck of a deal on it by buying it from Canon as a refurbished device.  I saved quite a bit on it and it works wonderfully!  So you might have to bear with me while I share more than a few photos.

Here is a close up of the top portion of my outfit.  I like the details of the lace tank along with the woven belt.

This photo shows one of the small little things that bugged the heck out of me with my other camera.  My point and shoot lacked any ability to focus on what I wanted to focus it on.  It just sort of did it's own thing and you would cross your fingers and hope.

Part of the reason I had such a hard time choosing a good top to wear with this skirt is because on this day Jules and I were getting our nails done again.  I had several cute tops picked out, but the arms were too long.  I needed to wear something with shorter arms, to be able to have them not get in the way during my manicure.  I know, big issue, huh?  Well I hate having to shove my sleeves up my arms and totally stretch them out.  I have rather big forearms.  Ah, life's little struggles huh?

What else??????  Not much really.  But how about, I find it surprising how many people still seem surprised that I wear my nails painted 24/7.  Yup people, I wear them to work this way.  And yes I dress as a male at work.  Oh and yes, they are purple, with sparkles too!

How about a gratuitous iris picture?  Have I told you Jules and I grow iris'?  Yup, a whole bunch of them.

Gosh that one is super pretty.  Oh how I love my new camera!

Love you!

Work hard to be proud of you!

Outfit for Friday 1/31/14

Top - Guess
Skirt - American Apparel
Belt - Target
Shoes - Tahari

Okay, you got me, I didn't actually wear these shoes out of the house with this outfit, I just put them on for the picture.  But aren't they the cutest?  Well maybe you can't tell form the photo; here is another:

I got these one day from DSW.  They were hiding back in the clearance section and I picked them up for about $10!  What a steal.  Seriously if you have not check it out, then you need to!  Well if you can that is; I don't know what sizes they carry, but I know they don't carry larger ones.

On the day that I wore the above outfit I actually had on flip flops as Jules and I went and got our nails done:

I got a mani and a pedi and thus I needed the appropriate shoes for that.  I wonder how many of you know how it feels to be able to sit next to your wife while getting pampered in a salon.  Heavenly.  If you are not wanting to do it while dressed as a girl then go as a guy, well worth it!

Hope you all are well!

Me?  I have been super busy as of late.  Multiple projects stretching me in multiple directions.  But isn't that the life of someone living life in the middle?  Isn't that another bloggers tagline? Hmm...

Love ya!

Outfit for Friday 7/19/13

 Top - Guess
Tank - Mossimo
Shorts - Celebrity Pink
Flip Flops - What's What by Aerosoles

Today was not as hot as it has been lately, but it was still predicted to be in the high 90s.  Some short shorts were definitely in order.  I find that in some of the more extreme warm days I prefer to wear shorts as opposed to a skirt.  Now maybe this is just me and my personal preference but I find that my thighs will often stick together and get a little rashy-irritated

While out today, Jules and I got our nails done.
I am currently on a longer time off from work and thus can be a little more expressive in my nail choices.  Which is kind of odd huh?  During work I am willing to still paint them but apparently in my own mind certain colors, patterns, methods, are off limits.  Hmm... interesting.  Trapping myself within my own self created walls.  Will I ever stop?

I recently bought a new pair of flip flops from DSW.
Before a few weeks ago, I had never even been into a DSW.  Shocking.  Jules and I found one in San Jose, CA, on one of our many travels.  We spent a few hours in there perusing all of the various cute shoes.  It was not until the back of the store, the super sale section, that we both went kind of nuts.  Well, nuts in trying shoes on.  We both only purchased two pairs.  I had to buy mine, as they we two pairs of shoes that originally sold for about 100 each, that I got for 10 bucks each!  Wow, what a bargain!  Had to have them.  I will show you those eventually.  For now, all you get are the flip flops I bought on my second trip to a DSW.

Also, some of you may remember that I have a nickel allergy.  This prevents me from wearing most of the cool jewelry that I find.  But recently Jules and I did some shopping at Dress Barn.  While in there I found a pair of earring that said they are nickle free.
I liked that they said "nickel free" and not just "sensitive skin safe."  I have purchased many pairs of earrings from Target that have said they are "sensitive skin safe" and Jules has inherited many pairs of earrings because after a few hours I find that I can not wear them.  Oh well.  These from Dress Barn felt fine, though they are quite heavy.

Other interesting tidbits:
- I ordered The Zara by Jon Renau, through Wilshire Wigs.  I was informed yesterday that the wig has come in and I called and made an appointment for a cut and styling advice when I pick it up this coming week.  OMG  I am so excited!!!
- Jules and I had an amazing weekend with Vivian and Edward recently that I must tell you about :)
- I have dressed more girl than less for the last 7 days.  I suppose I might be seeing how long I can go.  I am getting a little bugged about it.  Which is nice as I am so often bugged only about it the other way around.
